Ben Knake

Varsity Pass Game Coordinator/Receivers/Secondary

Coach Knake has been on staff since 2015. In his tenure with Mount Vernon, Knake has coached Special Teams, Quarterbacks, Receivers and Defensive Backs.

In 2021, Coach Knake will be entering his second season as the Assistant Offensive Coordinator and Passing Game Coordinator. He will continue to work with the Receivers and Defensive Backs in the Fall.

Coach Knake is a Lisbon High School graduate where he was an All-State selection in 4 sports (football, basketball, track & baseball). Knake also graduated from Cornell College where he played football for four years and earned a BA in Kinesiology.

Coach Knake and his wife, Lindsay, reside in Mount Vernon for the last 3 years. Coach Knake enjoys spending time with family & friends, and playing with the family puppy. 

The Mount Vernon football program has given me a platform to have a positive impact on young men. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Mustang football family and am blessed to be in a position where I can build so many positive relationships within the Mount Vernon School and Community
